Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
